The Sheriff's Office purposes to fulfill its duties as outlined in Chapter 11-15 of
North Dakota Century Code (NDCC).  The Sheriff is also contracted with the City of
Beach to enforce
Beach City Ordinances.

MISSION STATEMENT

The mission of this office is to serve and protect persons and property of Golden
Valley County. The responsibilities associated with this mission are many. They
include enforcement of state and federal law, maintaining the peace and order of
the county, protecting the property and person safety of county residents, and
generally assisting citizens in urgent situations. In joining this department, deputies
make its responsibilities their own. They are expected to carry out these
responsibilities diligently and courteously and to take pride in the services they
provide.

The department protects the rights of all persons within its jurisdiction to be free
from criminal attack, to be secure in their possessions and to live in peace. The
department serves the people of the county by performing the law enforcement
function in a professional manner and it is to these people that the department is
ultimately responsible.
